Best Friends For A Reason.

Awhile back, my primary school batch decided to create a forum on facebook and eventually I was being added in.

There we were chatting about the days in primary school, reminiscing the many things that we have done together, having so many playback scenes that sparked off after the conversations.

Those were the days when everything was so naive,
Those were my favorite days being a gal of my own,
Those were the days where I found the friends who will stay for the rest of my life.

So here we were chatting, and I happen to find my pri sch bestie, Sharon!

Years passed and all of us went different ways.
Alas, everyone lost contacts and interests of how others are doing.
I mean, its always the efforts of wanting to grow up together isn't it ?

While chatting with Sharon on fb, we eventually decided to meet up and Cindy being my best friend, wanted to meet her too!

Dined at Soup Spoon and continued the unfinished conversations at Working Title Cafe over a cup of Latte.

I must say it feels great to have her back into my life again.

Even though it was after years, we still have so much to talk about, and the frequency still remains intact as it was in the old good days.
I guess, there is always a reason as to why you were best friends to begin with.
There is always a saying that "As you grow older, you will have lesser friends and those who really stay on, are the ones we call true friends."

And I do, am glad that I have a couple of true friends who have been through years, thick and thins with me and I hope for the rest of my life, I will always have them like how I have them now.

Also made a pact with Cin to sweep away our Monday Blues by having a gym date on every Monday!
Love hitting the gym with her because she is always a motivator and I am always so comfortable with her around.

Somtimes, we just need, to go at our own pace, even if it is deemed slower than usual because moving too fast a time, makes you miss out something important in life.

Pre-Graduation Shoots + Convocation!

It comes a long way for me to really rejoice over the fact that I have officially graduate from Curtin Singapore as a Bachelor of Commerce Degree holder.

Went to collect the regalia on a Saturday which was the weekend before the convocation itself.
On the very day of collection, I went straight to Serangoon Broadway for my individual photoshoot and towards the afternoon, together with le parents and bf, we headed over to Gardens By The Bay for my pre-graduation outdoor shoots.

Presenting some of my favourites:

Le Bf bought the Curtin graduation bear for me which marks a meaningful symbol as the bear wore the same regalia as me =D It costs SGD50.00 for such a small bear but I guess, some things are more than just monetary terms right?

Was way too overjoyed so deardear took this photo for me which i posted onto instagram :)

"Guys usually go ORD LO, but for me it's gonna be GRADUATE LO! "

The outdoor shoot ended after taking about 100 photos.
Weather was way too scorching hot for me to withstand it cus I was in crazy attire that is thick and warm.
Thanks to daddy, mummy for being part of the shoot and deardear for being the photographer of the day <3

Shiok Maki - Wisma Atria

Had dinner with Twinny Love that day at Shiok Maki!

Shiok Maki
Koh Grill & Sushi Bar
Wisma Atria, Level 4. (At Food Republic Area)

Queue was long as usual but lucky for me, Twinny love queued up for us and when I reached, it was just nice our turn for a sit-in!

Ordered 4 dishes along with two cups of iced green tea each.

1) Salmon Skin
2) Shiok Maki Sushi - 2nd Generation

3) Garlic fried rice
4) Cold Tofu

The iced green tea, cold tofu and shiok maki were my favourites.
I did try Shiok Maki - 1st gen before and I thought it was still abit better than the 2nd Gen one but the 2nd Gen one had its uniqueness as well.
Salmon skin was good too but just a tad too salty and garlic fried rice was rather ordinary I thought.

Total Bill amounted to about SGD39.00 which was rather reasonable for small-eaters like me cus I was rather full after this meal.

The thoughts and loves that Twinny Love got me from Korea.
And Laneige was the best buy ever.
It's so much cheaper in Korea as compared to that in Singapore.
Why oh why, is everything so expensive in Singapore?!

Managed to meet up with sis the other day as well, oh how much i miss her after this little one got so indulged with her new relationship. Haha, but nevertheless, always happy and proud of her. She's gonna start her SMU path very soon <3

The hypes and craze over Singing Bone , Limited Edition Hello Kitty.
I didnt manage to get my piece cus the queue was overwhelming and it was really insane to queue out to the main road for most outlets or to go Mac at say, 3am while others are asleep.
I'm indeed a Kitty fan but I'm not silly till the extent that I do things that are out of my reach or sanity.

My colleague managed to get it from some trade deals and so I could only lend it to take a pose. haha.

OOTD: Chiffon Blazer

Photo: Look who is here to crash the kitty family photo? Dont get so worked up cus its not mine. :'( @adeline_45

My Happy Meows~

Have a good week peeps!

On A Photo Journey - BetelBox to Gardens By The Bay to Bangkok Jam.

Instead of usual mundane shopping, I had a phototaking journey around Singapore together with my Uni besties last weekend.

We have discussed and Sof & Wira brought along their Canon DSLR while I brought along me lightweight Pink Canon Ixus 130. Was pretty amazed and pleased by my digi cam. It's not just an ordinary plain jane okays! See the photos later, especially those shots of natures, flowers and trees which are original from the cam, un-edited.

Had lunch at Betelbox @ Joo Chiat which is a Peranakan restaurant with beautiful layout concept.
You will know what I mean by seeing the photos below:

I love those sketches on the wall like it's vintage old memories drafted all over the place.

The signature home-made lemongrass that tastes superb authentic such that for someone like me who dont really fancy strong taste like ginger, i had to mix quite abit of syrup =X

And This is the AWESOME Laksa Goreng which i shared with Sof Sayang.
Had nv tasted something better than this. It costs only almost $11 and two persons can share this.
I wouldnt mind eating another plate of this if i was super hungry.
It goes well with their in-house sambal chilli as well!

We're on candid~

After lunch, we made our way back to the nearest MRT to head to Marina Bay.

While on the way to the station, Wira spotted some old streets and wanted to take a shoot.
We stopped and Sof captured this scene that looks as if Wira was knocked by a car doesn't it? haha.

Here we are, reached Marina Bay! :D

And I've decided to on the Sepia mode on my cam:

FIKA
Swedish Cafe & Bistro

Address: 258 Beach Rd, Singapore 199539
Phone:6396 9096
Hours: Sunday hours 11:00 am–11:00 pm

Had an awesome dinner at FIKA with my two besties, Sze n Cin! I had saw brilliant reviews online about this Swedish cafe and so decided to try out with them since they have no better idea of where to go for dinner. Am glad to say that it wasn't a bad choice after all because we really enjoyed ourselves with the sumptuous food as well as the cosy ambience.

It was a Friday night so the cafe got really crowded. Lucky thing was that they allowed reservation and I had made one the day before. Upon reaching, the friendly staffs took us upstairs and we were caught aback by the homely ambience upstairs. They had Moose decor bookshelf and stove corner with sofas that were rather vintage. Most importantly , the wooden tables we had, felt like having dinner at home.

I had Tunnbrödsrulle and Swedish Lingonberry while the babes had Swedish Pannbiff.

Food was unique and we paid about $25 per pax. (:

After which, headed over to Toast Box for a chill-out session with the gals over coffee.
Been so long since we met up.
Missed them like nuts!

Happy MAY DAY!

Happy May Day Everyone!

I'm back with some updates again.

Had JPOT the other day with Kim at Tampines One.
Finally met up with this skinny gal after ages.
Everyone's been busy and I'm glad she has finally found a job after her grad from NUS.
Everyone is leading a brand new life now.
And I'm glad I still have friends like her in my life and I really hope everyone will stay throughout in my life till we all walk through the next phase of our life.

10 Tampines Central 1
Tampines 1 #03-16
Singapore 529536
Tel No: (65) 6532 3536

JPOT is like a steamboat style, in affiliation with JUMBO group.
The only thing different is that instead of charging per pax and offering a steamboat buffet, it is actually not charged by per pax but the per dish food that you ordered (ala-carte)

Adding on to their uniqueness, you can order the food via IPAD placed below the table.

Soup Base Ordered:
1) JPOT Superior Broth (For Kim) - SUPER NICE!
2) Bak Kut Teh (For me)

Ala Carte Ordered to Share:
1) Chicken Sausage with Cheese
2) Marinated Pork
3) Chicken Cheeseball
4) Leaf Lettuce
5) Maggi Noodles
6) Free flow drinks

It's rather expensive actually given the share was not really alot and its charged based on ala carte.
But it's quite worthwhile to go occasionally cus the superior broth is really SUPERB!

We paid around $21 per pax.

Also managed to meet up Lynn babe and passed her the BKK present!
She bought me brunch at Coffee Club!
*SLURPS*
I look like a glutton with the big share. hehe.

Hope the month of May will be a great one.
I can't wait for June to come cus it will be the final exam I am having and i can proudly say GOODBYE to UNI! :)) WOOOHOO!
