Studio M.

Decided to do a little surprise for the boy on his upcoming bdae on 3rd June and so I had it all planned myself.

While at home, all set off to go Studio M

Went on Agoda website previously and booked a room at Studio M Hotel to spend some quality time with him.

After using my Agoda points available, I paid almost SGD200.00 for a night stay.

I kept telling the boy that we are going to Sentosa.
So he was like "AIYA confirm is the waterworld la" (so i sort of made him believe that we are indeed gg to waterworld so that he will bring along his swimwear and extra clothes for stayover, brilliant me? hahahaha)

Check-in was pretty fast because payment was already made to Agoda.

Room number was 414 which was upgraded to the premier studio loft.

Right after we opened the door, this is what you see:

Breakfast area
Breakfast was inclusive for us and it was a buffet-style.
I think they had quite a reasonable array of food ranging from bread to congee to indian-style prata, eggs, cereals, cowhead cheese, fruits.

One thing good about them is that they have staffs standing at each buffet table where food was served so that they can keep a constant lookout as to when to replenish the food when it is running low. You will never have to walk to the juice area or fruits area to find nothing to take with you because there will always be something there so long its within the breakfast hours. Awesome right?

Had a pleasant two days 1 night stay and the bed they had is super comfy. Other than some issues with their housekeeping cleanliness, I felt that it was a stay worthwhile especially when the bdae boy himself enjoyed it as well.

As it was GSS period, we left the hotel during the afternoon after our swim and Jacuzzi to town.
In case you are wondering, there are actually shuttle service at the hotel itself that takes you to places like :
1) Corpthorne King's Hotel
2) Great World City
3) Paragon
4) Clarke Quay MRT

You can have the route checked at the lobby itself because there are different destinations ongoing for weekdays and weekends.

The shuttle comes every hour on the hour and the last service during the weekend is at 8.30pm.

So we went to Pique Nique at Takashimaya because we couldnt think of better stuffs to eat. Haha.
My second experience with Pique Nique.

Had Norwegian all-day breakfast that time and so decided to try something different this time:

Italian Minestrone Soup:

All-day Breakfast:

All in all, it was an enjoyable occasion and I hope my boy loves it.
Happy Bdae once again and I Love You Dear. <3

Porn's , Thai Restaurant.

From a customer to a penpal to a friend, I finally got the chance to meet up with my favourite blogshop owner, Reb love (:

We met at Bugis and head to Porn's for dinner!
Just in case you go RARA over the name, it is actually named after our local celebrity, Pornsak, who is a Thai.
And yes, this is a concept of a Thai Restaurant.

Porn's
28 Liang Seah Street, Singapore 189049
Tel: 6337 5535

Was my first visit here but it was Reb's second.
So we ordered something that she has yet to try.

For the two of us, we had Thai Chicken Tom Yum Soup (What is Thai food without Tom Yun Soup right?) ,  Minced Meat with Basil and Thai-styled Tofu.

Overall, I think the food is just so-so.
Nothing much appealing or unique compared to other Thai restaurants but it's definitely worth a first try.

Total Bill amounted to about SGD31.00 for two pax.

After which, we proceeded on to 'Ah Chew Desserts' which was just across the street.
No matter how full we are, there are always room for desserts =D
Reb love got Mango Sago with ice cream while I got the watermelon sago.
I have always loved their Mango Sago and Honeydew Sago and Durian Sago.
Must be wondering, what? All Sago?! Haha, yes, cus the rest of the desserts array belong to that of traditional category  like glutinous rice balls etc which aint my cup of tea.

Hello to the honourable blogshop owner, Reb! :)

Surprisingly, we got so many common topics to talk under the sun.
To be honest, I am very much not someone that sociable who will go around blabbering non-stop if you put me in an enclosed room with just me and a group of strangers.
I am someone who needs time to adapt to the environment and to the people around me and I wouldn't expose my friendliness until I feel comfortable.
Hence, people who don't know me always feel that I am very unapproachable and unfriendly at first sight.
But when you get to know me better, I am actually the exact opposite of what you really thought I was initially.

So I am really glad to have met a new friend here. :)

On a side note, below is my new buy.
It's Urmms...... A tad ugly but.... the ugliness is what makes it adorable isnt it?

My boy couldn't stop saying how ugly it is, so mean right?
But yes, "Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder".
Haha, still, if you ask me why I have bought this ugly thing, I would hesitate for awhile and still have no answer for you. LOL!

So here you go, I call this ugly love "Ahlolo" because I wanted to call it Uglo but I suddenly thought of Aglio Olio then I merged Ah with the lo and called it Ahlolo =D

Please meet Ahlolo! * Waves Frantically!*

And gosh, upcoming December will be a hectic month for me.
Then again, since when has EOY been easy right?

Haven't got the chance to upload my photos for my HK trip with daddy and mummy,
Will be right back soon! :)

Little Part 1 Cafe.

Almost died travelling to Upper Thomson Road from my workplace because of the relatively inconvenient accessibility to MRT station as well as the availability of buses.
Furthermore, it ain't easy to get urself squeezed on to buses or trains at peak hours after work on a Friday.
But it was all worth it cus I was meeting one of my bestie, Ning! :)

Her workplace was near Upper Thomson Road and so being a nice and understanding friend, I decided to make my way down from urban to rural area . Exaggerating I know. HEHE.

A day before we decided to have dinner at 'Little Part 1' Cafe.

Happy Gurl!

Hello Bestie (:

Cider is love!

Overall, I guess it was a place that you can go for a long quiet sit-down with a friend.
If you are gonna be with a big group, I guess this place wouldn't very much sit big groups cus its a small-style cafe.
Food wise, I wouldn't say its super fantastic but well, reasonable and affordable.
A bit inaccessible but well, cafes are always situated at ulu areas.
I must say I really like the Cider (Fruit Beer) but yet in Singapore, it's a tad too expensive.
It costs SGD15.00 for a bottle at Little Part 1.
Heard from my friend that if you are in England, the same bottle would prolly cost you only SGD2.00.
Oh yes, Singapore... why everything so expensive?!

Total bill amounted to about SGD60.00 for us two pax. (:

More cafes to try out soon!
And WHOOSH, it's exams week for the next two weeks and one day after my final paper, I'm going to Hong Kong with the Mr and Mrs head of the family =D All EGGCITED!

Quiet Time Alone.

"Sometimes, what we need is some quiet time alone, to bring back the once livelier person in you."

And me?
I spent the few hours alone, walking aimlessly,
trying to fit a good reason why I felt that way and what has impacted me so much.
Eventually, answers don't come appearing vividly.
All I know is somewhere, somehow, hurts that bad.

My therapy of spending time, alone.

Avnet Customer's Appreciation Day!

Backtracked to a few weeks back, I went for the event - Avnet's Customer's Appreciation Day!

It was held at Resorts Sentosa on a Friday and I went with two of my colleagues, Lily & Qianqian.
We had a great time taking the public transport together, reaching the Resorts World Convention Center before 12 noon.
Headed to reception for registration and sat down for lunch thereafter.

A few talks / speeches went on and after which, we were splitted into different teams for the Amazing Race!
Teamed up with Lily, Qianqian, two others from IBM and two others from DFS.

The start-off was just a mere brisk walk for some photo-taking session with the parrot.
I got the parrot held on my hand, but didnt get a photo of it here eventually.

The Amazing Race began with watching the 4D Pirates Show that was really hilarious.
All the splish-splash of water, on-seat movements that got each one of us supra excited.
We had to answer a few questions after that and we moved on to the next station which we had to deduce from the hints itself.

Photo taken @ Pirates

Hello FR Team Members! :)
The hint on the paper was "Once is never enough" and so we moved on to the next station which was the Ludge!
The challenge was to bite the cup filled with water in your mouth as you ride the ludge and ensure you collect adequate water to fill a container at the end of the ludge.
Sounds simple huh, but when you get on the ludge with your cup full of water, you will realise the water pours all over your chin and nose.
I didnt get wet till towards the end when you are about to return the ludge, everyone behind you dont really bother to brake and knock into you. The feel is like :" WTH? Thank you very much!"
So we poured the remaining water into the container and off we went for the next hint to the next station.

QQ & Me!
Then we took the sky ride!

Beautiful nature!

We were then supposed to climb all the way up to the Merlion to take a photo and pass to their game master assistants to move on to the next challenge.

Merlion

Apparently, the Sky Tower was on maintenance so we had to give that challenge a miss.

Sky Tower
The last challenge of all was to go into the past of Singapore and answer a few questions.
Below are some of my favourite pictures that I got while walking through the memory of lane to the past of Singapore.

Chinese Opera

Mixture of People

Peranakan

Olden Days Chinese Wedding

QQ

The last challenge was to go to the souvenir shop and use up the vouchers given. But you must choose the cheapest items possible so that your quantity of gifts will be a tad more.

And guess what? It was our first time participating in the event and we came in as the FIRST TEAM to accomplish the whole Amazing Race. And because of that, we each receive $50 Capitaland voucher along with $20 which comes as a door gift. Hehe.

GOOD JOB TEAM D! :)

The loots from Avnet
We definitely had a great time on a Friday which was supposed to be a day at work.
At my age, I definitely enjoy this kind of sporty adventure once in a while! :)

And the other day while at work, I received a courier from my Taiwan friend, Glenn!
She was so sweet lurh.
She went to London and knowing that I love Hello Kitty, she got this mini folder for me where Kitty was in The London Army uniform. Awwwwsss.
So touched that she still remember me wherever she goes and we only got to know each other through my last trip to Taiwan.

London Kitty
Talking about Taiwan, Yesyes, its time to share about the trip soon after lagging for such a long time. Oops!
